Analytics

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data, including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location (country level). This helps understand how the site is used and improve it.

Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to track sessions. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Reject non-essential" in the cookie banner (clear your browser cookies and revisit the site).

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies. For full details, see the Cookie Policy.

Legal basis for processing

Processing of contact enquiry data is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) given when you submit the form, and on the legitimate interest of responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics cookies are only set and processed if you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner, based on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (the right to be forgotten)
  • Restrict processing of your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Data portability where processing is automated
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at hello@patrickryall.com. I will respond within one month as required under GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland's supervisory authority).

Data retention

Contact enquiry data is retained for up to three years after the last interaction, then deleted. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months (the default retention period for GA4).

  • Google Analytics 4 — analytics (consent required)
  • Google Fonts — typefaces loaded from Google's CDN
